The Business Care International Award is pleased to announce its support for the “Buena Vista Orchestra Tour”, the ensemble that carries the living heritage of Cuban music around the world.
The Tour is the vision of Steven Machat, a friend of the Business Care International Award. A worldwide entrepreneur and producer of music, film and theatre, Machat also practiced as a lawyer in the early part of his career in Los Angeles, Nashville, New York and London. He dislikes being called simply “a lawyer”: he sees himself as an entrepreneur who lives and works across the world.
Throughout his career he has accompanied some of the greatest names in international music: Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Electric Light Orchestra, Leonard Cohen, Phil Spector, New Edition, Bobby Brown, and in Italy Riccardo Cocciante and Franco Battiato. Today, with the same visionary instinct, he has brought together outstanding musicians to revive, with both respect and contemporary energy, the sound that has captivated generations.

“Supporting the Buena Vista Orchestra Tour means recognizing those who, like Steven Machat, take culture across borders. Music is one of the highest bridges that Italy and our Award can share: ethics, talent and an international vision,” said Massimo Veccia, President and Founder of the Business Care International Award.
This collaboration fully reflects the Award’s mission: to connect ethics, culture and dialogue among peoples. Supporting an initiative of this calibre reaffirms the Business Care International Award’s commitment to artistic excellence that speaks to the world.
